Takatsuji Seisakusho, located in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, is known for its more than 400 years of history as the "city of casting." Over the past 70 years since its establishment, Takatsuji Seisakusho has been manufacturing household Buddhist altar fittings and craft products primarily using brass casting.
In September 2019, the company launched its own brand, 'CASTIN',' to contemplate "the potential of casting" and "the contemporary lifestyle with casting." The word "CASTING," which means pouring and assigning a role, is retained in the brand name, emphasizing the unique expressions of casting. The goal is to create tools that have meaning and purpose in daily life. Additionally, the company aims to explore and share the strengths of Takaoka by incorporating not only brass, the main material used by Takatsuji Seisakusho, but also other materials and techniques used in Takaoka.
